"The Making of a Showhouse"

Lynn Garelick of LBG Interior Design in Greenwich created a handsome sitting room in the upstairs hall. The textured woven wallpaper with a tree-branch pattern from Brunschwig & Fils unites the space. Contemporary and 19th-century paintings give the feel of an art gallery. The oriental rug with its soft tones of beige, blue and brown anchors the sitting area, where a chimney was formerly located. An upholstered chair and ottoman next to a George III mahogany secretary invite private moments. The unusual thistle ceiling fixture is from Niemann Weeks.
